This morning we previewed the ORRRC Turkey Trot course in Miamisburg. We ran the five mile loop and then stopped in for donuts and coffee at Bear Creek Donuts. The weather was very pleasant, in the mid 30’s with low wind, and we expect similar conditions for Thursday’s run.
As Fall racing season ends we struggle to find our groove after stepping off the accelerator and letting go of some of the fitness we worked so hard to build. The physical rest is needed but it’s hard to find the right balance between letting our bodies heal and anticipating the new season.
There were many efforts and races to celebrate this year and we are proud of the many individual performances. Now is a great time to slow down and soak in all the positive things we accomplished. We are really excited to continue meeting more of you and learning what it is you love about running.
Let’s be smart and enjoy some downtime so that we can do some solid training this winter. Look for us on Thursday at the Turkey Trot and have a great run that day!
