11 miles in 90 minutes. Ran north on bike path from Corwin to Roxanna New Burlington Rd. Aid station (water and Gatorade) set up at 5.5 mile turn around. Cool Mint Chocolate Clif Bars provided at finish. Our first longer run in a while, all legs felt a little heavy today. Excited to get back at it with progressively longer runs this winter. Team will be heading up to Troy this afternoon to watch Ohio High School Cross-Country Regionals.
Runners starting to formulate their Spring racing plans. We love the Atlanta Track Club and are excited that one of our runners is considering taking on their Publix Atlanta Marathon in mid-March. Saturday: 40 minute easy run. Pace Groups: Two. Route: Iron Horse Park trail north to Hempstead Rd. Conditions: 51 degrees at start, low to moderate wind, overcast skies. Sunrise: 7:50am. Water, Gatorade, and Zone Perfect recovery bars were provided.
Sunday: Many of our runners are racing tomorrow in Columbus. The Full and Half Marathon begins at 7:30am from North Bank Park. Run fast everyone!
We ran in the first Gem City Classic 5K put on by the Advanced Running Project.
Race began at Island Metropark in downtown Dayton at 5:00PM on Saturday. Conditions: 51 degrees at start, low to moderate winds, sunny. About 250 runners finished the race with competitive winning times for men and women.
Check our site for upcoming training runs and events. Next Sunday is the Columbus Marathon and Half-Marathon so we will be in Columbus on Sunday supporting our runners there.
Saturday we may support a long run in the Dayton area depending upon training schedules as few weeks are left before the majority of our Fall races and many have completed their final long runs and are preparing to taper for big races.
